REMAKING
HISTORY (2004)
When cocky, self-styled documentary filmmaker Jay Morong
set out to expose enigmatic director Klaus Hummersumpf during
the production of the German-born auteur's controversial
historical epic, Herbie's Heroes, the story of a brave little
Volkswagen that liberates a Nazi work camp, he had no idea
what he was in for. With equal parts humor and thoughtfulness,
director Robert Newton explores our perception of history
and ourselves with his heartfelt tribute to everyday heroes
of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Written and directed by
Robert Newton
WALK
THE EDGE (2005)
The place? America. The time? The future...or is it? Cars
fly. Drugs are legal. The government recognizes the gang
as a viable family unit. When a long-dormant force makes
a play for control of the planet, two young friends - a
former HyperCane addict and a brilliant hacker battling
for his life - are all who stand between it and a world
in which the human race reaches its finish line. Written
by Mark Volpe and Robert Newton; Directed by Mark Volpe
